Nursery and Kids' Praise

We offer nursery to children ages 0-3 for the whole service, and a Kids’ Praise class to children ages 4-8 that begins after the worship portion of the service.

Our Beliefs

Bible

We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, the final authority for Christian faith and living, containing everything that one must believe to be saved and live a life honoring to God.

God

We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit– who are equal in power and glory, have the same attributes and perfections, and live in complete unity while being distinct persons. This Triune God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present. He has made all things, visible and invisible, and He continues to govern and sustain all things so that no event can be said to take Him by surprise. God is not the author of evil but brings good out of the evil things that are done by his creation.

Sin

We believe that the first humans, Adam and Eve, were real people who disobeyed God’s commands, which has caused all humans since them to have both the guilt of this sin and the propensity to sin because Adam stood as the head and representative for the human race. We believe that sin affects every aspect of our lives (e.g., physically, mentally, volitionally, emotionally, spiritually) and our world (e.g., culture, business, arts, government, family). Due to the sin of Adam, all humans are sinners and unable to save themselves, standing under the threat of divine punishment without the gracious intervention of God on their behalf.

Salvation

We believe that God the Father, out of His free grace, gave his one and only son Jesus Christ as a sin sacrifice for mankind. We believe that it is by faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved and have the promise of eternal life. Jesus Christ is our righteousness - there is nothing we can do to earn our right standing with God, for it is by grace we have been saved, not by our works.

Jesus

We affirm Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, fully divine and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to the Father. Jesus' earthly ministry revealed God's kingdom through miracles, teaching, and service. He willingly suffered death on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity, demonstrating God's love and justice. On the third day, He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death, and now sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ offers salvation to all who believe in Him, promising eternal life and a restored relationship with God. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead, ushering in the fullness of God's kingdom.

Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that all followers of Jesus are called to be a part of the visible church, with The Gathering as one particular manifestation of the universal church. Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and he rules in his church through the leadership of pastors, elders, deacons, and other leaders who have been appointed to oversee and serve the people of God. We believe that the church is to gather regularly for worship of the God who has made them and saved them, and that the church is called to make disciples, calling upon all people to repent of sin and turn in faith to Jesus Christ.
